NOW HIRING – Member Experience Director
Leadership Montana exists to develop leaders committed to building a better Montana through knowledge, collaboration, and civility. Through various unique programs, members of Leadership Montana gain a deeper awareness of issues affecting Montana and build powerful personal connections across our network and beyond. Leadership Montana is 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
Position Overview
The Member Experience Director (MED) is a full-time, senior management position based in Helena, Montana and reports to the President/Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Working in collaboration with the entire LMT team, the MED creates exceptional learning and connection experiences for the alumni members of Leadership Montana and general public of Montana. Extensive in-state travel will be required.
Duties and Responsibilities
The Member Experience Director will perform a wide range of duties including some or all of the following:
Event planning and management
- Plan and execute alumni member programming events and workshops including, but not limited to: Masters Class, The Confluence, Men’s Forum, Women’s Forum, Indigenous Immersion Initiative, LMT for Legislators
- Plan and execute various social events and engagements in various communities
- Coordinate and manage logistics including, but not limited to: site selection, meal planning, lodging reservations, materials preparation and production, business tour arrangements, securing and working with numerous presenters, set up and tear down, interfacing with event venue staff
- On-site event management to support program lead, consultants, and vendors
Committee and volunteer management
- Coordinate and manage monthly meetings of the Alumni Committee and special events committees (as needed) including, but not limited to: Men’s Forum, Women’s Forum, The Confluence
- Manage on-site volunteers as needed
Essential Requirements
- Excellent writing ability and grammar, good communication skills and attention to detail
- Proficient in managing databases
- Proactive, organized, and responsive
- Proficient in prioritization
- Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office and other applications as required
- Display ability to take initiative and work independently, and be capable of working closely with Leadership Montana staff, members, donors, governing board, and committee members
Preferred Abilities/Skills
- Previous event planning or committee management experience
- Previous volunteer management experience
- Ability to stay focused and on-task while remaining flexible to manage unforeseen interruptions
Other
Leadership Montana strives to work as a team and employees are often required to perform various duties for the overall good of the organization. These duties may sometimes fall outside the job description.
Salary
Compensation for this position will be commensurate with experience and may include a performance incentive plan in addition to guaranteed base salary.

During Beating Burnout, we will:
- Define burnout and its symptoms
- Gain tips on preventing and treating burnout
- Create actionable ways to reduce stress and anxiety at work

Patricia Hughes offers mastery trainings in Seattle and virtually each year. In person trainings are two-days long, virtual courses occur in 4 separate multi-hour sessions. Several deliverables are required to complete the certification.
